The long awaited battles are finally being released as open beta and
the time has come to stake your claim!
On Thursday 31st of Dec at 13:00 GMT, an entire world map of thousands of territories will be available to over 2940 registered clans.
If you’re not already aware, these new battles are very different to the old battle framework. The entire interface has been rewritten and designed using Silverlight - it is quite simply one of the most stunning web applications you are likely to see anywhere on the net.
Even more importantly, the game-play has also been completely revised. While the contribution of your entire clan remains an important element, territorial ownership is ultimately determined by Counter-Strike matches. Nothing like this has ever been available, combining the efforts of casual public gamers and hardened clan players, Final Battleground is nothing short of a revolution in online gaming.
Going forward, we are on schedule to finally exit our beta status in Q1 2010 and go live for once and for all. Over the coming months, the number of visitors to the Final Battleground will increase considerably as we begin to inform the gaming community sites and magazines worldwide.

Modern Warfare 2 is going to have to have a Leaderboard reset, plain and simple. With all the boosting, glitching, and exploiting, the current Modern Warfare 2 Leaderboards are not legitimate. I'm sure Infinity Ward doesn't want to reset the Leaderboards in fear of upsetting the community, but it has to be done.
The multiplayer for Modern Warfare 2 is completely screwed up. PS3 players have the ability to go straight to 10th Prestige, there are hacks & mods on the PC, and a complete loss of control on the 360.
The Javelin Glitch almost made me go insane, but the new "Public Private Match Hack" is completely unacceptable. I'm disappointed with Infinity Ward with relationship to all of the glitches and problems with the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer.
The big problem with the "Public Private Match Hack" is that it pulls innocent players into a match that they didn't want. Not only does it pull players into a different game, it pulls you into a spawn kill massacre with 'noob tubes' and AC130s (with unlimited ammo) on Rust. There is no real way to avoid getting into a match like this, the only thing you can do is hope to get into a normal lobby.
Hopefully Infinity Ward can fix some of these major problems soon, or people will definitely be turned away from Modern Warfare 2.
Community manager fourzerotwo has dropped a bombshell on the PC community as he confirmed there will be NO dedicated servers, no mods, no server lists and matchmaking only for the PC version on Modern Warfare 2, a first for the Call of Duty series, a series known for its large modding community and high number of dedicated servers.
Remember that this Call of Duty was made popular by PC Gamers who have supported the series throughout.
September 23, 2009 - Valve, creators of best-selling game franchises (such as Half-Life, Portal, Team Fortress, and Counter-Strike) and leading technologies (such as Steam and Source), today announced that Crash Course -- the second downloadable content (DLC) update for its co-operative zombie thriller, Left 4 Dead (L4D) -- will be made available worldwide on September 29 on Xbox 360 and PC.
Crash Course delivers new single-player, multiplayer and co-operative gameplay to both platforms, and bridges the gap between the end of the "No Mercy" campaign and the beginning of "Death Toll" in the original game.
While containing both Survival maps and a Co-operative Campaign, the primary goal of Crash Course is to deliver a complete Versus mode experience in just 30 minutes, resulting in a streamlined version of the game's existing Versus campaigns. A recharge timer for infected teammates has also been added, and item spawn behavior has changed for more balanced gameplay.
Left 4 Dead is an action horror game from Valve that blends the social entertainment experience of multiplayer games such as Counter-Strike and Team Fortress with the dramatic, narrative experience made popular in single player action game classics such as the Half-Life series of games. Released in November of 2008, L4D has earned over 50 industry awards from outlets around the world and sold almost 3 million copies worldwide.
Pop icon Michael Jackson died in Los Angeles hospital after being found unconscious and not breathing at his home. He was 50. The "King of Pop" was found unconscious when fire Department paramedics were summoned to Jackson's Bel Air home at 12:26 p.m. by a 911 call.
They desperately tried to resuscitate Michael on the way to UCLA Medical Center, officials said. Jackson was initially reported to be in a deep coma as members of his famous family flocked to the hospital. Then came word that he had died. Other reliable sources has confirmed the news.
